Byron Put Up Some Siding

This is not what we wanted to put up, but it was less expensive and I think it looks great. Byron just about killed himself moving those beams in place by him self. I was very sick yesterday and couldn't help. Doctor gave orders for me not to lift anything any more. He may have to hire someone to help him with the back and sides. Even the sky looked better yesterday!

Before and After

Blakeley's Robe Finished

Finished up today about 5:00 so I couldn't get it in the mail today. Hope she and Ryan get them by Christmas.

I couldn't pass up getting the frog to go with the robe and pj's. Isn't he cute.

Blakeley's Pictures

I printed 3 more of Blakeley's pictures. She had taken pics of 3 different mushrooms. I had the printed with a glossy print and framed them. They are hanging on on end of the living room wall for now. I will move them into a grouping around my large mirror, when I get the mirror moved. For now it is better than looking at a blank wall and I just love the pictures.

Christmas Tree

Here is a picture of our Christmas Tree this year. I added more snow after Ian and Raven deorated it.

Making Blakeley's Robe

I started Blakeley's Robe this morning. I am almost done. Here are some of the pictures. After cutting it out it was a big pile of material just waiting to be put together. I decided just to make a retangle pocket on her robe, but I wanted it to match up with the print. This really is a lot of fun. I love making things, because it is like putting together a puzzle.

My back yard

Many days I walk to the back door and this is what I see. Throughbreed horses. What a great back yard!

We also put up the Gazbo and added some lights.

Taking out time to make Robes and PJ's

Well a few months ago I told the parents of my grandchildren that I would be making Robes and PJ's for all of them. I actual started back in August, before we got the mobile home, so I had to take a break from working on the house to sewing. Here are the ones I have completed.

Ian's will be Cowboys.

Max gets a sports print with grey sweatshirt pj's.

Max's Robe I even made labels for each one of them.

Ryan's Robe and PJ's

TRASH TO TREASURY

Front moulding for shelves.

I picked this up a while ago at a mobile home surplus store. They were used in Clayton Homes a few years ago to make built in intertainment center. I was in desperate need of some shelves in the living room to display my pictures and nick nacks. There is not a fire place in the living room. We eventually want to get a flat screen tv so I looked a furniture stores and thrift shops, goodwill and salvation army, but couldn't afford the furniture stores and couldn't find anything I liked at the other places. I bought this for $20 each. I decide on the design and had Byron help me with the work. I made the shelves so they are movable. I will add another piece across the top and we will get at new stand eventally. For now I am using an old stero, record player that really works for the tv stand. I painted it black to match the shelves.

Finished for now!

Byron's Birthday Party

Byron's Birthday The kids got to come over and stay the night on Grandaddy's birthday. We also decorated the Christmas Tree. Will Ian did most of it Raven and I were tired. We finidhed up at 11:00pm. I started a new tradition this year of putting fake snow of the tree. They had a Great time throwing the snow on the tree.

Raven started the snow fight but Ian got into the act too.

We finished the tree.

Busy, Busy, Busy

I have been so busy I haven't had the time to do a post, so I am trying to catch up today. My internet connection was so slow I couldn't do anything before Thanksgiving. I got it fixed now .So here are some new pictures. This was Byron Room. Now it looks like this.

I picked this up out of the yard, washed the dirt off and turned it in to wall art. I still want to add something to it. Not sure what yet.

I know the star are not straight. I fix it. Just as soon as I have another minute.

Raven and Ian

The kids were here on Sunday. Raven and I painted moulding and she did the Chef on the back splash. Aren't they cute.

More updates

We finished tape and texture in the room that was peach. I am trying to decide what color to paint the walls. We are going to do this room in a texas style. If anyone has any suggestion please let me know. I have tried a few things in Photo Shop. I will try to put the out on the Blog but my connection is so slow it may take awhile. I love living in the country but I want the city opportunities, such as fast internet. Here are pictures of Ian and Raven at haloween.

Kitchen Updates

Here are the most recent pictures of the Kitchen update. I finished tape and texturing the walls and painted them. This was a lot of hard work. I have taken the last couple of days off the recover. I still have to sand and paint the patio doors, put up bead board and trim. I think I am going to paint the Island white because eventually I will replace the cabinets and all new ones will be white. The floor is just painted brown for now. Looking a samples for Pergo.

Callie and Byron Home Makerover

Ian and Raven went to work on Saturday. They helped me take all the purple paint out of the room. It had to be pulled down like wall paper. They had fun and learned alot. They were tired after 10 hours but Raven and pony were still smiling.
